Parent Communication

We communicate with our parents and carers in every way possible, and keep them up to date with their child’s experiences and progress every step of the way.
Apart from enjoying lovely relationships with all our parents and carers, where staff are friendly and open for parents to talk to at any time throughout their child’s time at nursery, we also provide the following:

Daily updates

Every parent/carer receives daily communication using eyLog about their child’s day at nursery; including what they have eaten and how much, what activities they have been up to, how long they have slept, nappy changes or been to the toilet.

Weekly observations

Each child has a Learning Journal through the eyLog app, where photo and video observations are taken of each child on a daily basis to evidence their weekly development against our curricular goals. 

Weekly newsletter

Every week we send you our newsletter which is jam packed full of lovely stories about what we have been up to including trips and new projects and initiatives.

Spotlight meetings

We host 3 x spotlight meetings in-house with parents/carers. This is a lovely opportunity for parents/carers to come into our nursery and speak to their child’s key worker about their child’s time and development at nursery.

Regular family events

We actively encourage parents participation and host regular family/child events, such as our annual Christmas party, mother and father day events, Easter specials and more. 

Annual questionnaires

We really appreciate the value of feedback – good or bad! We therefore send out annual questionnaires to parents/carers and staff – we even do special ones with the children!
